Death Bringer Book Review

Death Bringer was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book: Death Bringer

Author: Kelly Marie Pollock

Publication Date: 20th May 2020 (Happy Publication Day)

Genre: Gothic noir fantasy

Rating: 5 stars

Nova may have won the fight for her freedom, but she’s far from won the war.

Join Nova, Ruth and Chaplin as they leave the grim streets of Victorian London behind and immerse themselves in the magical living realm of Hindra.

Their mission appears to be clear; infiltrate the Councils headquarters, freeing the captive, Detective Maximus Steele and overthrowing The Righteous Ones in one fell swoop, but as they’re about to realise, all is not what it seems.

Time is of the essence and time is running out.

From streetworker to rebellion leader, does Nova have what it takes to unchain Hindra or is she simply a pawn in someone else’s game?

My Thoughts

I’ve been so excited to read this book since I read book one of this series last year. I devoured this book in two sittings. In Death Bringer we are following Nova trying to deal and fix what happened in book one. Nova is dealing with a lot of trauma and grief with the previous trauma from before book one and also the trauma from what happened in book one.

Obviously I can’t say a lot about this book because I don’t want to spoil this series for you. I truly loved this book and really loved the discussions about grief and love.

Starting this book I was expecting one adventure because that was the goal at the beginning of this story and suddenly the goal changes and they end up on a rescue mission. There’s not a lot I can say about this book but I adored this story and highly recommend this series for you to read.
