My 2021, 5 Star Predictions.

Hello and welcome back to my blog! I am super excited to be writing this blog post, January has not really gone to plan so I am trying to scramble to put together a bunch of my 2020 wrap up posts and here is my first one! My 5 star predictions of books I am planning to read in 2021.

Thunderhead By Neal Shusterman

I read Scythe back in November and absolutely adored book one and gave it five stars. From what I have heard Thunderhead is even better so I definitely think this one will be doing a 5 star read. I am so excited to get to this one and see what’s going to happen with Citra and Rowan.

Blood and Honey By Shelby Mahurin

This sequel was one of my most anticipated reads of 2020 but I could not find it at any of my bookshops for months after it was released so I didn’t get to it in 2020. I have it now and just reread Serpent and Dove to prep myself for reading this book ASAP.

Vicious By V.E Schwab

This is a book that I have been meaning to read since I joined the bookish community and heard everyone absolutely raving about this book. I am currently half way through this book and am definitely feeling it’s going to be a five star read! But we will see how it all ends!

Kingdom of Ash By Sarah J Maas

I have been making my way through the Throne of Glass series with the lovely Elizabeth at behindthebookshelves on Instagram and have been absolutely loving this series so I definitely believe the final book will be a 5 star read when everything comes together and I see where all my favourite characters are and how things turn out. I have heard a lot of people say that this book broke them so I am terrified of how it is all going to end.

The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

Since joining the bookish community I have heard nothing but excellent things for Brandon Sanderson and I have been meaning to read this book for a long time. I am very intrigued by his books but also very nervous because they are chonky and are all connected in some way. I have tested the water with adult high fantasy in 2020 so I feel a little more ready to tackle a Brandon Sanderson book now in 2021. I have a good feeling about this book and really hope I am going to hop on the bandwagon and scream about Brandon Sanderson along with everyone else.

Slay By Brittany Morris

Another book that took the bookish community by storm last year that I NEED to read. This is all about video games which I am definitely getting interested in with my new nintendo switch so I’m really intrigued by this book. I am definitely making a big effort to try and diversify my reading a bit more in 2021 which I’m really excited about.

DarkDawn By Jay Kristoff

The last book in a trilogy I have loved so far!! Both NeverNight and GodsGrave got five stars but I definitely want to reread both of those before I sink into DarkDawn. This series is so dark, so gruesome, gory and I loved every single second of book one and two!!

The Hate You Give By Angie Thomas

Another diverse book I need to get to this year and one that is screamed about across the book community. Although this is going to be a hard hitting book that is going to make me sad and angry but it is definitely a book I need to read. I am so excited to get into this one and I really hope its a five star.

Golden Son By Pierce Brown

I read Red Rising last year and really loved it. Although it was dark, grim and full of a lot of triggering content I loved it completely. This is why I am really excited to see how book two goes because so much happened at the end of the book I am so excited to continue with this series!

The Bone Season By Samantha Shannon.

I recently just read the novella a few days ago and had a lot of fun with the 78 page story. I have a good feeling about this series and am really excited to get to the Bone Season as lately it has got a huge resurgence because book four is being released in February. I definitely have a good feeling aboutt this series and can’t wait to get to it.

So there you have my lovelies, my 5 star predictions for books I want to get to in 2021. Once I complete this list I will write another blog post reviewing and reflecting on the ratings I give them which hopefully all will be 5 stars!! I hope you have had a wonderful holiday season and I wish you all have a great 2021!

With Love,

Anne. xxx
