Book: Her Sister’s Baby
Author: Emma Bennett

Rating: 3 stars

A beautiful and emotional story about , grief, the promises we make, and finding love in the most unexpected of places

Woken in the middle of the night by the horrific news that her estranged sister has been killed in a fatal car crash, Sophie abruptly finds herself guardian to a niece, Alana, she never knew existed. The baby gives Sophie a way to cope with her grief, and a new focus to her life, but the unexpected appearance of Samson, Alana’s father, wanting his daughter to now live with him, threatens to destroy Sophie’s newly formed family.

Can Sophie and the seemingly feckless Samson, reach a compromise, or will Sophie be forced to give up her sister’s baby?

My thoughts

This was a really nice short novella that also hit some very hard themes such as grief.

This is a very fast paced read. I read it in one day. Right from the beginning I was immediately drawn into the story wanting to know what happens next.

This story is very emotional as our main characters sister has passed away and right from the beginning we feel the grief and sense of loss she has.

Because this story is so shirt I cant really say a lot more about this story but I do want to say I wasnt a huge fan of the romance that blossoms within the story. I feel like it happened very quick and the characters didnt really know one another.

All in all this was a good story and I had a really good time reading it.
